Modern falconry
Due to changes to the landscape and the arrival of the small shotguns falconry slowly lost its attraction. The cost of keeping birds of prey became too much for the lords and princes. In the 19th century falconry came to a close.. Nowadays hunting with falcons is only for a few enthusiasts. In addition, falconry is used for the control of the inconvenience of birds, e.g. at an airport.
